Highest
levels of customer satisfaction maintained
Stuttgart. Vehicles from Dr.
Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG continue to successfully meet the very highest
quality standards in the USA, the largest export market for the
Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer. This is the conclusion reached
by US market research institute J.D. Power in its latest “Initial
Quality Study” opinion poll, which was published today.
Porsche secured first
place for the third time in a row in the prestigious brand ranking –
considerably ahead of the luxury Nissan brand, Inifiniti, and followed
by Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and Toyota. 81,500 buyers of new cars were
interviewed for the study.
J.D. Power assesses the level
of satisfaction among buyers of new cars during the first 90 days
following delivery of the vehicles. On the basis of a catalog
containing 228 criteria in total, customers are asked to give their
impressions of quality and workmanship.
The classic Porsche 911 Carrera
came out on top in the “Premium Sporty Car”
segment and was also voted the
best car overall in the study. The Porsche Cayman was named second best
in its class in the “Compact Premium Sporty Car” segment – after the
Mercedes-Benz CLK. Meanwhile, in the “Midsize Premium Multi-Activity
Vehicle” segment, the Cayenne SUV was awarded an excellent third place.
