Paul
was born in Morley, Leeds (England) in 1967 and moved to neighbouring
town Batley in his late 20's
where he
lives now with his second wife Bev and son Luke.
Paul
first realized his love of art at an early age which led to taking 0
level art
at school and having 2 paintings selected for display at Leeds art
gallery from
a plethora of entries from several West Yorkshire schools. After
leaving school
his dream of pursuing a career in movie animation fell by the wayside
and after
trying his hand at auto mechanics and then several managerial jobs in
the
leisure industry to support his young family he settled into a job at
engineering firm Yorkshire Rubber Linings where he still works today as
a Quality Health and Safety manager. Paul got back into painting in 2003 when his wife bought him paints and materials for his birthday after hearing him mention on more than one occasion over the years how he used to enjoy it so much and has never looked back since. Paul has fused his love of painting and motorsport to create breathtaking quality images of his iconic car the Porsche and to date has commissions from British race team P.K. Sport and American team Petersen / White Lightning, the racesite.com, Strasse Porsche Leeds,The American Le Mans Series, race driver Patrick Long and Seikel Motorsport under his belt not to mention countless private commissions.
Paul as also released last in December 2005 the painting “Team Work” on a 100 off limited edition print with all profits going to the Salvation Army American Lemans Grid Kids Appeal and also promised that he will donate £5.00 from each print sold from the sale of any of this collection.
Paul is in the early stages of very promising painting career in the motorsport art world. As well as private commissions Paul has several paintings currently in print, which are available to purchase in a limited edition of only 250, 150 and 100 prints worldwide, which are sure to become collectible very quickly.
In 2005 Paul’s workload doubled and apart from the number of privet collectors that had ordered commissions more and more race teams where approaching Paul regarding his artwork. With the help of porschesport.com Paul’s name is now known around the World within the racing community and has many friends and contacts especially in the USA. Paul's down to earth approach to art and motorsport has been noted among the teams and they have stated that they enjoy working with Paul when it comes to ordering commissions.
