The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux is ready for the start of the 2024 season at Spa-Francorchamps.

After the test days in Zandvoort and Spa the field of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux looks highly competitive and is ready for their start of the season on May 9,10 and 11 during the Belgian round of the FIA WEC at Spa-Francorchamps.

Circuit Zandvoort hosted the official test day of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux 2024 on April 3, and the new season promises to be very exciting and sporting again. Compared to last season, we will not see the AM category anymore, but there will be a classification for the Rookie drivers, and the PRO-AM categories will continue to exist, just like the team championship launched in. This season there will not be a PRO classification anymore, instead, there is now an overall championship.

"The test days went well," said Olivier Aerts, the Series Manager of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux. "We are able to welcome more than 50% new participants, including eight young drivers who will compete in the "Rookie" category. This is immediate proof of the excellent place we occupy in Porsche Motorsport's competition pyramid. We see a lot of young drivers who have made their mark in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, now competing in higher competitions and that is important for us. Young drivers know that in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, they can lay the foundation for a further, professional career in motorsport. Of course, with our organization, we also offer the road to the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux itself, with the Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux and the brand-new Porsche Sprint Southern Europe. We therefore look to the future with confidence and the 2024 season promises, among other things with twenty permanent registrations and quite a few guest drivers during the various races, to be another great season. This season we have a guest appearance of two-time WRC world champion Kalle Rovanperä who will participate in four events of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux with RedAnt Racing, at the circuits of Zandvoort, Imola, Red Bull Ring, and Zolder. We are already looking to the season and so are the teams and drivers without a doubt!"

The championship kicks off on May 9, 10, and 11 during the FIA WEC's visit to Belgium, and then the competition heads to Circuit Zandvoort (June 7-9) during the Dutch round of the DTM, to be hosted a month later at the beautiful circuit of Imola along with the European Le Mans Series (July 5-7). The second half of the season starts at the circuit of Assen, during Jack's Racing Day. In mid-September, there are the races during the Austrian meeting of the International GT Open (13-15 September) at the Red Bull Ring, and the final of the season takes place at Circuit Zolder, during the finals of the European NASCAR from 11 to 13 October.

Of course, all rounds of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux are live streamed so all fans around the world can follow the races. The live streams can be watched on all platforms of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux!
