Black Sheep Racing Earns Multiple Podium Finishes at Sonoma Raceway

Black Sheep Racing enjoyed a successful weekend at Sonoma Raceway as the team secured four podium finishes during Round Four of the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West championship. Competing at the team's home circuit, Black Sheep Racing fielded a two-car line-up featuring Josh Conley in the GT3 Pro/Am class and team owner Laura Ely in the GT3 Masters class.

The weekend began with a strong qualifying effort as Conley secured third in class while Ely qualified second in the Masters category.

Race One saw both drivers capitalize on their starting positions. Conley delivered a strong drive to finish second in the GT3 Pro/Am class, while Ely added another podium to her season tally with a third-place finish in GT3 Masters.

The momentum continued into Race Two on Sunday. Conley once again stood on the second step of the podium after another consistent performance in GT3 Pro/Am competition. Ely improved upon her Race One result, finishing second in class to complete a double-podium weekend for herself and the team.

The results continue a strong season for Black Sheep Racing, which has consistently battled near the front of the field throughout the 2026 campaign.

It was a really positive weekend for our entire team,” explained Laura Ely. “Sonoma is always a special place for us, and it's rewarding to come away with multiple podium finishes in front of our home crowd. Josh did a fantastic job all weekend and showed great pace from the start. We continue to learn and improve every time we hit the track, and I’m proud of the effort from everyone involved. It gives us a lot of confidence heading into the second half of the season."

With Round Four complete, Black Sheep Racing will now enjoy a brief summer break before returning to action for Round Five of the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West championship at Road America, August 14-16. The iconic Wisconsin circuit will provide a new challenge for the team as they look to carry their Sonoma momentum into the latter stages of the season.
