Black Sheep Racing Heads to Laguna Seca for Sprint Challenge USA West Finale

Black Sheep Racing is set for the final round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West championship this weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, where team owner and driver Laura Ely will look to cap off a strong season by securing the GT3 Cup 992 Masters championship.

Ely will once again be the team's lone entry, competing in the GT3 Cup 992 Masters class. She enters the season finale leading the championship standings, putting the title within reach as the team heads to one of the most iconic circuits in North American sports car racing.

Famous for ‘The Corkscrew’, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is a 2.238-mile, 11-turn circuit renowned for its elevation changes and technical layout. After a season of consistent performances and strong results, Ely will enter the weekend focused on maximizing every session and bringing home the championship for Black Sheep Racing.

“It's hard to believe we're already at the final round, and I'm really excited to have the championship lead heading into Laguna Seca,” says Laura. “We've put a lot of work into this season, and the entire Black Sheep Racing team has given me an incredible car every weekend. Laguna is such a special track, but it's also one where you have to stay focused every lap. The goal is simple: execute the weekend, stay consistent, and hopefully finish the season with a championship.”

With the championship lead in hand and one final weekend remaining, Black Sheep Racing and Laura Ely are ready to fight for the GT3 Cup 992 Masters title at Laguna Seca. The weekend will begin Friday with practice before qualifying and Race One taking place Saturday. Race Two will close out the Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West season on Sunday.
