China GT

Following two action-packed rounds at Shanghai International Circuit, the series now heads south to Zhuhai, with Porsche represented in the GT3 and GTS categories. After picking up a podium last time out, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia racer Xu Zhefeng returns in the #610 610 Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, partnering 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champion Daniel Lu.

German racer Moritz Berrenberg has taken victory in all four China GT races so far in 2025, and will look to continue that form in the GTS class, solo piloting the #927 Maxmore W&S Motorsport machine. Tian Weiyuan and Han Liqun impressed last time out, earning a podium in Race 2, with the pair aiming to build on that in the RST GT Racing #977 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, while 610 Racing’s Wang Jiahao and Gan Erfu complete the trio.

Weather is set to be a major factor this weekend, with temperatures in excess of 30°C and heavy rainfall forecast, meaning teams and drivers will have to be on their toes to react to the changing conditions.

All four entries will hit the track on Friday for test sessions and Free Practice, before Qualifying gets underway on Saturday morning at 10:00 local time (UTC+8). Race 1 is later that day at 15:48, while Race 2 begins at 14:33 on Sunday.

Moritz Berrenberg, Maxmore W&S Motorsport: “Zhuhai is always a unique challenge and even more so this weekend, with alternating spells of sun and sudden downpours. It’ll mean that we need to be on top form to take victory and we’re expecting strong competition in the category. This round also brings a great opportunity to secure the GTS season title before the last event, so that’s the goal we’re pushing for, and I’m fully focused on extracting the maximum from every session to help achieve this.”

Gan Erfu, 610 Racing: “I’m so excited to race at Zhuhai International Circuit for the first time in such a highly anticipated event! I’m aiming to be in great form and will be ready to battle among the intense competition throughout the weekend to deliver a strong result for the team.”

Nürburgring 24 Hours

Meanwhile, Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Dorian Boccolacci will return to the world-famous Nürburgring Nordschleife for the 53rd running of the Nürburgring 24 Hours, making his debut in a GT3 car at the event. The race marks the second stop on the Intercontinental GT Challenge calendar, with Porsche looking to build on the points it scored at the Bathurst 12 Hour in February.

The Frenchman will be competing for Falken Motorsports in the #44 Porsche 911 GT3 R alongside Tim Heinemann, Dennis Marschall and Morris Schuring. Boccolacci has enjoyed a strong season so far in the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie, taking an overall victory and second-placed finish.

A massive 54 Porsche entries will take on the iconic enduro, making it the best represented marque at the race, including seven Porsche 911 GT3 R in the leading SP-9 category.

Measuring over 25 kilometres and known as the ‘Green Hell’, the Nürburgring 24 Hours track is made up of both the Nordschleife and the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit, making for one of the most challenging tests in world motorsport. Qualifying 1 and 2 take place on Thursday, ahead of Top Qualifying and Qualifying 3 on Friday. The race begins at 16:00 local time (UTC+2) on Saturday.

Dorian Boccolacci, Falken Motorsports: “Finally the Nürburgring 24 Hours is here and it’s what we’ve all been working towards throughout the NLS campaign. I’m aiming to take everything I’ve learnt from this season so far to help us achieve an excellent result. It will be my first time in a GT3 car at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, and I can’t wait to feel the special atmosphere created by the fans in attendance.”

Alexandre Gibot, Managing Director Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Ltd.: “We’re all prepared for another busy weekend of racing for Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific! The China GT campaign has been a successful one for us so far and we’re very happy to ave four cars taking on Zhuhai International Circuit for the third round of the season. It’s going to be a challenging one with the hot temperatures and threat of heavy rain, but we believe our teams and drivers are up for the fight. We’re also very excited to see Dorian take on the Nürburgring 24 Hours for the first time in his career in GT3 machinery. He’s proven his ability on the Nordschleife with strong results in NLS, and this weekend marks a key moment of his programme as the Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver!”
