Black Sheep Racing Heads to Road America for Round 5 of Porsche Sprint Challenge

Black Sheep Racing returns to action this weekend at the iconic Road America for the fifth event of the 2025 Porsche Sprint Challenge North America season. The team’s sole driver, Laura Ely, will once again take the wheel of the #209 Porsche 992 GT3 Cup car as she continues her impressive rookie campaign.

Known for its 14-turn, 4.048-mile layout, Road America is one of North America’s most historic and challenging circuits. With long straights, fast corners, and sweeping elevation changes, Road America is the longest track on the calendar and rewards aggressive drivers and teams with good car setups.

Laura Ely has continued to make steady gains throughout the season, consistently climbing the ranks and showcasing her ability to adapt to the competitive 992 Masters class. With the confidence built through her recent performances, Ely is aiming for another strong showing at Road America.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back in the car this weekend,” explained Laura Ely. “Road America is such a classic track. It’s fast, technical, and unforgiving. Each time out this season, I’ve learned more and pushed myself further, and I’m ready to bring that momentum into this round.”

With just a few rounds remaining in the season, Black Sheep Racing and Laura Ely will look to keep pushing forward and build on what has been a promising debut year in the Porsche Sprint Challenge. The weekend schedule will follow the traditional two-race format, with qualifying and both races streamed live on the Porsche Motorsport North America YouTube channel, giving fans a front-row seat to all the action.
