Rutronik Racing Moves To The Fanatec GT World Challenge And NLS With Porsche

Rutronik Racing announces its changed race schedule for 2023. The successful team not only changes brands, but also decides, contrary to the communicated ADAC GT Masters plans, to participate in the Europe-wide Fanatec GT World Challenge. In addition, attacks are carried out on the Nordschleife.

Rutronik Racing is causing a sensation in GT3 racing. The successful team from Wilferdingen, Germany, is not only celebrating its comeback at the Nordschleife as part of the Nürburgring Endurance Series and the highlight of the season, the legendary 24h race. It deliberately decides to switch to the Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS. The Endurance Cup will be tackled instead of the originally planned ADAC GT Masters commitment. The new challenge, in the top-class field of international top drivers, is already eagerly awaited.

The driver and team champion from 2019 recently expressed criticism of the changes in the German motorsport scene. After numerous titles and victories with Audi, Rutronik Racing is now relying on another German manufacturer. The aim of the new Porsche 911 GT3R is highly motivated for the next championship and to build on the success story of recent years.

The driver constellation of the team will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fabian Plentz, Team Principal Rutronik Racing: "I am delighted that we have been able to put together an extremely competitive programme together with Porsche Motorsport for the 2023 season. Above all, the switch to the SRO GT World Challenge brings a new challenge that the entire team is looking forward to. It was time for a change of scenery and thus a breath of fresh air in our own ranks."

Klaus Graf, Sporting Director: "For Rutronik Racing, being able to compete in the extremely competitive Fanatec GT World Challenge Powered by AWS Endurance Cup with the new Porsche GT3R is a great vote of confidence from our partners and sponsors. We have structurally restructured the team in the winter months and spared no expense and effort to meet the requirements of endurance racing with today's GT3 cars."
