Double victory for the Schumacher CLRT team: Flynt Schuring has won its second race in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The Dutchman from the talent pool of the one-make cup landed an unchallenged lights-to-flag victory ahead of Porsche Junior Alessandro Ghiretti in the French team's second Cup nine-eleven. Robert de Haan from the Proton Huber Competition team finished third. The driver from the Netherlands thus defended the championship lead after four of 16 races of the season.

"The start was crucial, I was able to fend off an attack from Alessandro," reported Schuring, who started the 12-lap race on the Belgian Formula 1 circuit from pole position. After that, I focused on not making any mistakes and saving my tyres.‟Alessandro Ghiretti had won Friday's race, secured another 20 points with second place on Saturday and moved up to second overall. "A good weekend for the whole team. Flynt put in a perfect performance today and really deserved the win," the Frenchman praised his young teammate

"There was nothing to be done against the two black nine-eleven this weekend. But luckily I scored enough points to defend the lead of the standings," analysed Robert de Haan and promised the Schumacher-CLRT duo: "The next two races will take place at my home track in Zandvoort, then the cards will be reshuffled."

Places three to six went to GP Elite, as on Saturday. This time, Huub van Eijndhoven was just ahead in the team's internal three-way battle. The Dutchman crossed the finish line less than a tenth of a second ahead of Ariel Levi from Israel. His compatriot Kas Haverkort followed in sixth. Janne Stiak (Target) was the best-placed German in seventh. Porsche Junior Theo Oeverhaus from Osnabrück (Bonk Motorsport) finished ninth.

Victory in the rookie classification of the one-make cup with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup went to championship leader Sacha Norden (Proton Huber Competition). "The first laps were really hectic for me with a lot of battles for positions," said the Carrera Cup rookie from the Netherlands. But I got through it in one piece, stayed out of all the mess afterwards and I'm really happy about my second rookie victory." The other trophies went to Brazilian Matheus Ferreira (Target) and Daniel Gregor from Rhineland-Palatinate, who competes for Team75 Bernhard.

In the ProAm, the streak of bad luck of the reigning champion Sören Spreng ended. After a collision through no fault of his own on Friday, the Sauerlander secured his first victory of the season in the gentleman driver category on Saturday. "On the podium for the first time at the fourth attempt – finally I had a race without any special incidents this season," said Spreng, who rides for the Dutch GP Elite team. Ahmad Alshehab from the [a-workx] by Porsche Paderborn team, the previous day's ProAm winner, finished second ahead of championship leader Michael Essmann (Team75 Bernhard).

"The Formula 1 circuit at Spa-Francorchamps was once again a guarantee for two exciting races with spectacular overtaking manoeuvres. The backdrop of the FIA World Endurance Championship once again offered the drivers of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland a great experience. My appreciation goes to the Schumacher CLRT team, who really put in a perfect performance this weekend. My congratulations also go to Robert de Haan, who was able to defend his lead in the standings with a lot of commitment and cleverness," commented Thorsten Rückert, Project Manager Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland.

The next round of the one-make cup will be held at Zandvoort from 6th to 8th June. The Formula 1 circuit on the Dutch North Sea coast will host the fifth and sixth races of the season, which will be held as part of the DTM.
