Duckhams Yuasa Racing continues podium run to open 2025 campaign
Duckhams Yuasa Racing by Graves Motorsport extended its streak of top three finishes in the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, as Jacob Tofts secured another podium and three top four results to remain firmly in contention at the weekend (9-11 May).
fter claiming third place at Donington Park, Jacob arrived at Brands Hatch in confident form, showing good speed during practice on Friday and carrying that into qualifying the following morning. He topped the times during the first runs and finished fourth fastest – just a tenth of a second from pole – while on second quickest times he was third.
In the opening contest he held station in fourth place until a Safety Car period extended the race to 25 minutes. Once racing resumed, he enjoyed an untroubled run to the flag his Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, backed by Duckhams Oil, Yuasa, Jurid, Moog, Luften Filters, and Herth + Buss.
Jacob had a strong launch off the line for race two to sit third, only for another Safety Car interruption. On the restart, he defended resolutely and was duly rewarded with a podium finish. The third and final race followed a similar pattern: a strong start put him in contention for second, but a loss of momentum meant he dropped a position. Undeterred, he shadowed his rival throughout the 20-minute contest and mounted a last-lap charge—just falling short of a clean overtaking opportunity and ultimately finishing fourth.
Jacob and the Sprint Challenge squad will next be in action at Oulton Park, in Cheshire, at the end of June, while Max Coates and the Porsche Carrera Cup GB entry will return to the track at Snetterton, in Norfolk, on 23–25 May.

“After the disappointment of mechanical problems at Donington Park, Brands Hatch delivered three strong results with a podium and two fourth place finishes. Ultimately, we lacked a little pace in the car across weekend compared to the fast and flowing Donington, but we worked hard on the set up and the car felt much better in the final race; it was just incredibly hard to overtake on the Indy circuit. I’m looking forward to Oulton Park as I took my first wins there last year. It’s a track I enjoy so I’ll be hoping for another strong three races, in just over a months’ time.”
