Iron Dames colours set for GT2 European Series

Iron Dames is pleased to announce that Sarah Bovy and Laura van den Hengel will take part in the GT2 European Series, competing in a Porsche 992.1 Cup featuring the iconic Iron Dames colours.

Competing in one of the most competitive GT championships, the series will see an exciting new all-female pairing come together: experienced driver Sarah Bovy and rising talent Laura van den Hengel.

A key figure within Iron Dames, Sarah Bovy has played a major role in some of its most important milestones, including the historic FIA WEC victory at the 8 Hours of Bahrain in 2023, as well as securing the first pole position for a female driver in the championship. Recognised as one of endurance racing’s most respected drivers and one of the most popular personalities among fans, Sarah was promoted to Silver status in 2025, reflecting her speed, consistency and continued progression.

Laura van den Hengel, supported by Iron Dames in 2025, continues her development after making her GT debut with Porsche in the European GT Open Cup. With strong performances and promising potential, she now steps into the GT2 European Series as a Bronze driver to watch closely.

Together, they form an exciting new all-female pairing, carrying the passion, commitment and performance-driven spirit that define Iron Dames on track and beyond.

Iron Dames looks forward to following and highlighting their Women Driven by Dreams journey throughout this new challenge.

At the same time, the movement led by Deborah Mayer continues to shine at the highest level of equestrian sport, while expanding its reach across society, drawing on its model of success to drive positive change far beyond the track.
