Leonardo Sanchez aims for first win of the season in Velocitta

This weekend, Leonardo Sanchez competes in the Velocitta stage of the Porsche Carrera Cup, in Mogi Guaçu (SP). The current runner-up of the Carrera Rookie class is looking for his first victory of the season.

In the opening stage, at Interlagos, Sanchez showed speed and made more than ten overtakes in the second race, when he occupied a place on the podium, but was forced to retire after suffering a touch. This time the EMS Racing driver hopes to turn speed into victory to enter the fight for the Carrera Rookie title.

Velocitta is one of the most technical tracks on the calendar and demands a lot from the physical part of the drivers because it does not have long straights. The track located in the city of Mogi Guaçu (SP) is 3,493 meters long and has 13 curves.

The weekend schedule includes an optional practice on Thursday and another on Friday, when free practice 1 also takes place. On Saturday the track opens with qualifying in the morning, with race 1 starting at 13:50. Sunday's race will have a grid reversal, with the start scheduled for 13:20.

The races are shown live by Band and Bandsports, in addition to the official digital channels of the Porsche Cup.

What he said:
"I'm confident, Velocitta is a track that I like a lot and we need a good result to make up for the first stage. At Interlagos we had speed, we even passed more than ten cars in the first laps of the second race, but I suffered a touch and had to retire. Now it's time to focus on winning to be able to enter the fight for the title."
