Porsche clinches stunning Thailand Super Series Drivers’ Championship and another Super GT podium

AAS Motorsport by EBM’s Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak won the Thailand Super Series drivers’ crown this weekend with an excellent display at Chang International Circuit, while seven x seven Racing scored a remarkable third consecutive Super GT podium at Mobility Resort Motegi.

Thailand Super Series

Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific customer teams capped off an impressive Thailand Super Series campaign by taking victories and podiums across all three categories at the 2025 season finale in Buriram.

Saturday kicked off the racing action with the GT4/GTC event, which saw AAS Motorsport’s Kmik Karnasuta and Kantadhee Kusiri produce an excellent drive to take a crucial fourth victory of the year, moving the pair back to the top of the GT4 standings.

Dechathorn Phuakkarawut and Thanapattra Sutthisawang narrowly missed out on the overall podium in the #99 AAS Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, but wrapped up the Am-class win.

Next up was the GT3/GTM race, where GT3 championship leader Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak, alongside Laurin Heinrich, delivered the perfect drive from pole position. They led the majority of the event and overcame the success penalty to cross the line in first, ensuring maximum points for AAS Motorsport by EBM.

B-Quik Absolute Racing’s Henk Kiks and Sandy Stuvik battled through to fourth overall, while in the GTM category, Simon Chan claimed an Am-class second in the #10 Fire Monkey Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

Sunday’s action got underway with the GT3/GTM event as Heinrich took the start in the #18 Porsche 911 GT3 R and moved up to second, before handing over to Inthraphuvasak. After serving the success penalty, he dropped back to third, but the Thai racer delivered a spirited drive to secure second, earning his ninth podium of the campaign, which was enough for him to clinch the 2025 Thailand Super Series Drivers’ Championship.

Kiks and Stuvik concluded the tenth race of the season by securing fifth, meaning the duo would finish fourth in the GT3 standings. In the GTM category, Chan managed to earn another Am second, ending the year third overall in the GTM Drivers’ Championship.

GT4/GTC finished proceedings with Iaro Razanakoto and Sathaporn Veerachure bouncing back from a tough Saturday to cross the line first overall for B-Quik Absolute Racing. However, the duo would be classified third after a time penalty, but would still take the Am-class win.

Phuakkarawut and Sutthisawang followed closely behind in fourth, and their AAS Motorsport teammates, Karnasuta and Kusiri, narrowly missed out on the GT4 drivers’ title after finishing sixth.

Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak, AAS Motorsport by EBM: “I’m proud to have secured the 2025 Thailand Super Series drivers’ crown! Thank you to everyone who played a part in this incredible success. It’s been an amazing year which wouldn’t have been possible without the AAS Motorsport by EBM crew, sponsors, Laurin and Dorian as well as Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific. This victory belongs to all of us and we’ll look to carry this momentum forward into our next challenge!”

Laurin Heinrich, AAS Motorsport by EBM: “I’m delighted that Vutthikorn was able to clinch the overall Thailand Super Series Drivers’ Championship! It was always the goal when starting this programme and we’ve managed to achieve this through consistent performances. The weekend felt like our most flawlessly executed round of the season, winning Race 1 despite the 15-second success penalty. It’s down to the hard work of the team throughout 2025 that this amazing result has happened today. It was great to end the season on a high and thanks to AAS Motorsport by EBM and Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific for this opportunity.”

Henk Kiks, B-Quik Absolute Racing: “It was nice to wrap up the year by finishing fourth and fifth across the two events. It’s been a good and consistent campaign driving the Porsche 911 GT3 R and I feel like we’ve been making progress every race. In terms of my own performance, I think it’s my best year yet and it’s certainly been a long and fun season with lots to build on moving forward.”

Kantadhee Kusiri, AAS Motorsport: “This year might not have gone the way we hoped, as we narrowly missed out on the overall GT4 title, but we gave it everything we had. Thanks to the squad for preparing the car perfectly throughout the campaign and Kmik for being a great teammate. One thing is for certain, we’ll come back stronger.”

Dechathorn Phuakkarawut, AAS Motorsport: “We’re pleased to have ended a tough season with an Am class win on Saturday and taking fourth overall during Race 2. We’ll make sure we learn from this experience to return even better. Thanks to the AAS Motorsport team for their continued hard work in 2025.”

Sathaporn Veerachure, B-Quik Absolute Racing: “It was a great way to finish the 2025 campaign. Even though we suffered a DNF during Race 1, we came back stronger on Sunday to end the year on the overall GT4 podium. Big thanks to all the crew and my teammate for their hard work all season long.”

Super GT

seven x seven Racing continued its remarkable form by taking another Super GT podium this weekend at the eighth and final round of the 2025 season at Mobility Resort Motegi.

The event got off to a solid start as Kiyoto Fujinami and Harry King qualified the #666 Porsche 911 GT3 R seventh on the 28-car grid for Sunday’s event.

Fujinami took the wheel for the start and managed to move up to be battling in the top five for the majority of his stint, before handing over to King. The Brit found himself in a multiple car battle for the final places on the podium and waited patiently until the penultimate lap to pull off a fanastic overtake to snatch third, which was where the pair would finish.

This great result means that seven x seven Racing continues its incredible streak of scoring podiums at each of the last three Super GT races to cap off the 2025 campaign.

Kiyoto Fujinami, seven x seven Racing: “We wanted to get another victory, but I think finishing on the podium for the third consecutive round shows the strength of our team. Next year, we’ll be aiming to be in the championship battle.”

Harry King, seven x seven Racing: “The last three races have been amazing, taking a win and two further top three finishes, which is a great achievement. The performance and progress from the squad have been so satisfying to see. Coming into Super GT, my ambition was to prove that Porsche can be competitive in this championship, and we’ve done that, so overall I’m very happy!”

Alexandre Gibot, Managing Director Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Ltd.: “It’s been another excellent weekend for Porsche across both championships. We’re delighted to see Vutthikorn take the Thailand Super Series drivers’ title in the first year of this current generation of Porsche 911 GT3 R in the series. It’s an amazing achievement from him and the whole crew as well as Laurin and Dorian who partnered Vutthikorn in 2025. We also had multiple customer teams taking victories and podiums across all three categories. In Super GT, we once again saw how strong seven x seven Racing has become, securing its third successive podium. It’s a credit to how hard the squad has worked this year to continuously improve and be in this remarkable position. Overall, it’s been a great way to finish both championships in 2025 and we’re already looking forward to what the future has in store.”
