Season finale for Tim Heinemann in Barcelona
Team Joos Sportwagentechnik finished a strong second place in the ADAC 1000km race at the Nürburgring with a Porsche 911 RSR IMSA – Michael Joos set a new lap record.
The season finale of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup will take place on the Barcelona Grand Prix circuit. With 60 GT3 cars, a breathtaking field of participants will contest the race. Among the drivers is Tim Heinemann, who will start in Spain.
He will start with new teammates, as his regular partner in this year's season of the international GT racing series, Rolf Ineichen, will not be on the grid for scheduling reasons. Heinemann will compete with long-time Herberth Motorsport driver Ralf Bohn and Alfred Renauer, who leads the team with his twin brother Robert, in a Porsche 911 GT3 R. The trio starts in the Bronze Cup.
The three-hour race will start at 15:00 on Sunday, followed by the three-part qualifying session in the morning from 10:25. Both sessions can be followed in the official livestream of the SRO, which will be offered in German and English, among others. The two practice sessions on Saturday will also be streamed worldwide on YouTube.
Tim Heinemann (GER):
"I'm looking forward to the weekend, the driver line-up is already familiar to me from previous race weekends together and accordingly not completely new. I think we have a good chance of finishing well in the Bronze Cup and finishing the season with a podium is my goal."
