A strong line-up for the title defence

Proton Competition is entering the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany with five competitively cars. The team aims to build on its successes from 2024 and 2025.

In 2026, the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany will once again be a key focus of Proton Competition’s operations in Hofkirchen. The team has already won the historic one-make series four times in total, most recently in 2024 and 2025 with the fast Dutch drivers Larry ten Voorde and Robert de Haan. The team is fielding a total of five of the brand-new 520 hp Porsche 911 Cup cars this season.

Leading the line-up is South African Keagan Masters, who made his debut for the team at last year’s season finale at Hockenheim. The 26-year-old, who won the Italian Carrera Cup in 2024 and 2025, will now contest the full season in the German championship for the first time. Marcus Amand, who is just 20 years old, will also be competing for Proton Competition. The Finnish-French driver won the highly competitive French Carrera Cup in 2025 and was subsequently appointed an official Porsche Junior.

Dylan Yip brings further experience to the team. In 2023, the 22-year-old competed in selected races in the ADAC GT Masters. He is already familiar with the Hofkirchen-based team from the Porsche Sprint Challenge Suisse and a guest appearance in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. The international line-up is rounded off by the two Swedes, Gustav Bergström and Daniel Ros, who have already made guest starts with the team. Now the two Scandinavians are ready for their first season with Proton Competition.

“I am delighted that Proton Competition is part of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany with this formidable line-up,” says team boss Christian Ried. “Our aim is, of course, to build on last season’s successes and fight for the title once again. Last year showed just how close the competition is in the Cup and how important every single race is for the championship.”

The Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany will host eight race weekends in 2026. The season kicks off in April at Imola in Italy as part of the FIA WEC support programme and concludes in October at the Hockenheimring. One of the absolute highlights of the season will be the appearance in July at the Norisring, Germany’s only street circuit.
