Black Sheep Racing Heads to VIR for Porsche Sprint Challenge Round Four
Black Sheep Racing is ready to take on the fourth round of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America season this weekend at the legendary VIRginia International Raceway (VIR). Piloting the team’s sole entry in the 992 Masters class will be Laura Ely, who has steadily grown in pace and confidence throughout the season.
VIR, located in Alton, Virginia, is renowned for its flowing 3.27-mile, 17-turn layout featuring challenging elevation changes. The historic circuit is a favorite among competitors and promises a thrilling stage for the weekend’s doubleheader races.
Laura Ely has shown impressive growth and consistency throughout the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America season. After finishing 15th in class during her series debut, she has steadily climbed the ranks with four consecutive top-ten results. This weekend at VIR, Ely is aiming to improve on her season-best finish of seventh as she continues her upward momentum in the doubleheader event.
“I really love racing at VIR. It’s a track that tests you every lap, and the atmosphere is always incredible,” said Ely. “Our Black Sheep Racing team has been working hard all season, and I’m excited to keep pushing forward, fighting for strong results, and representing the team well.”
The event will kick off with two practice sessions on Friday, followed by qualifying on Saturday morning and two wheel-to-wheel races throughout the weekend. Fans can tune in live to watch all of the action on the Porsche Motorsport North America YouTube page.
