Car Collection once again competes in the world’s biggest GT3 race, the 24H of Spa
In 2025, the Car Collection Motorsport team will once again rise to the challenge and compete in the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa in collaboration with AV Racing. The team from Walluf will enter a Porsche 911 GT3 R under the name ‘AV Racing by Car Collection Motorsport’.
The Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa is regarded as the biggest GT3 race in the world. A total of 76 GT3 cars battle for victory twice around the clock on the famous ‘Ardennes rollercoaster’. It is not only the demanding profile of the Formula 1 circuit that poses special challenges, but also the changeable weather that puts teams and drivers under particular pressure.
After 2022 and 2023, Team Car Collection will be competing in this high-class race for the third time this year. In collaboration with AV Racing, the team led by Peter Schmidt will compete under the banner ‘AV Racing by Car Collection Motorsport’. The Porsche 911 GT3 R with starting number 29 will be driven by the two Belgians Fabian Duffieux and Mathieu Detry and the Frenchman Noam Abramczyk. The fourth driver will be announced at a later date.
For Fabian Deffieux, this will be his first outing in a GT3 car. The Belgian has gained a lot of experience in GT4 racing in the past and was also successful in the Cup Porsche, particularly in endurance racing. His French team-mate Noam Abramczyk will also be making his GT3 debut at Spa, having driven LMP3 prototypes and GT4 cars in various endurance races in recent years. Mathieu Detry, on the other hand, can look back on many successes in GT3. He was crowned GT3 champion of the 24H Series in 2023 and has also finished on the podium at the 24H of Dubai.
The Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa will take place on 28 June 2025. The event kicks off on Wednesday 25 June with the traditional parade in Spa. All important sessions and the entire race will be broadcast in the live stream of the organiser SRO.
Romina Schmidt, Team Manager: “The 24H of Spa is one of the biggest challenges a team can face. This is the third time we are racing here and we want to deliver another good performance. For our three drivers, it is their debut here at Spa and we are doing everything we can to give them the best experience and result.”
