Double wins, rookie dominance, and resilience on display in Porsche Cup Brazil

The Porsche Cup C6 Bank returned to Velocitta for the second round of the 2025 season, delivering yet another weekend of high-speed action, tight battles, and memorable comebacks. With the grid as competitive as ever, each category saw standout performances, confirming the championship's reputation as the top one-make series in Brazil.

In the Carrera Cup, Marçal Müller once again secured pole position, but it was Thiago Vivacqua who stole the spotlight in Race 1, followed by Miguel Paludo in second and Christian Hahn in third. On Sunday, Alceu Feldmann delivered a dominant performance, taking the win in the second Carrera race. Paludo claimed P2 once again, while Miguel Mariotti completed the podium. The Carrera Sport division saw Miguel Mariotti on pole and victorious in Race 1, with Feldmann finishing second and Josimar Junior in P3. Feldmann returned for Race 2 to take the win, completing a double triumph in both Carrera and Carrera Sport. Mariotti and Josimar rounded out the podium once again in P2 and P3, respectively.

In Carrera Rookie, Bruno Campos secured pole position, but it was Leonardo Sanchez who dominated the weekend with wins in both races. Edu Guedes finished second in both outings, while Paulo Souza and Bruno Campos claimed third place in Race 1 and Race 2, respectively.

The Sprint Challenge category delivered thrilling action throughout the weekend. Gerson Campos secured pole position and converted it into a Race 1 victory, with Leonardo Herrmann and Caio Castro completing the podium. In the Challenge Sport division, Lucas Locatelli started from pole, but Mario Delara took the win, followed by Locatelli in second and José Moura Neto in third. Race 2 brought more excitement, with Herrmann claiming the overall win, Caio Chaves finishing second, and Campos in third. In Challenge Sport, Locatelli bounced back to take the win, with Moura Neto and Delara rounding out the top three.

Meanwhile, in Challenge Rookie, Daniel Neumann continued his dominant run. The young driver secured pole position and swept both races, further extending his lead in the class.

The Trophy category added more spectacle, with Neto Carloni converting pole into victory after a thrilling battle with Pedro Villela to defend his lead. Carloni now holds two poles and two wins in the season, emerging as the leader in his class. Sergio Laurentys and Villela joined him on the podium. In Trophy Sport, Gabriel Guper took the top step. The weekend also marked the emotional return of Heverton Cardoso to the grid. Just 12 days after a dramatic crash during qualifying in Round 1—where he went airborne at 102.2 km/h and flipped four times at the ‘Saca-Rolha’ corner—Cardoso was back behind the wheel of the #36 Challenge class car.

Thanks to the Porsche Cup C6 Bank technical team, his car was fully repaired in just three days, including a full monocoque replacement, while key mechanical components like the engine and gearbox remained intact. His return underscored not only the resilience of the drivers but also the unmatched durability and safety of the world’s most-produced race car platform, especially as the category celebrates 20 years in Brazil. With gripping duels, breakout performances, and inspiring stories of recovery, the second round of the 2025 season proved once again why the Porsche Cup C6 Bank remains a standout in motorsport.
