Porsche Carrera Cup Asia is ready to tackle the world-famous Marina Bay Circuit

Porsche Carrera Cup Asia is ready to tackle the world-famous Marina Bay Circuit as it supports the Singapore Grand Prix for the nal two rounds of its 2025 campaign, with titles still on the line.

A favourite on the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, the series has regularly supported the Singapore Grand Prix ever since it was frst hosted in 2008, with drivers and teams relishing the challenging street circuit. This season, the event marks the final two rounds of the campaign, while also playing host to the second and final Street Cup event, with winners set to receive a prize of a Porsche VIP experience at next year’s Bathurst 12 Hour.

The weekend won’t just be the last one of the year, as it will also be the final time the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1) is in action in the series, as the new 992.2 model is set to be introduced from 2026 onwards. Team Shanghai Yonda BWT’s Dylan Pereira wrapped up the overall title at the previous event in Mandalika, although second place is still up for grabs, with TORO Racing’s Enzo Trulli and Sime Motors Hugo Ellis level on points.

Following a strong debut in the series in the last round in Indonesia, Dylan O’Kee;e returns to TORO Racing as part of Porsche Carrera Cup Asia’s exchange programme with Porsche Carrera Cup Australia. The initiative saw 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and recently-crowned Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup champion Alessandro Ghiretti take on the Australian series’ event at Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, where he took a victory.Danial Frost will make his series debut in the #77 TORO Racing car in the Pro class, with the Singaporean set to compete at his home event. Frost has a strong racing CV, including an overall GT World Challenge Asia podium nish earlier this season.

Also joining the Pro-class for Rounds 13 and 14 is Bayley Hall who will take over in the #76 EBM entry. Bao Jinlong enters this event fresh from securing his sixth Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Pro-Am title, with the BWT Phantom Global Racing driver aiming to cap o; a superb season. Also in the Pro-Am category is Matthew Belford, who joins O’Kee;e as a Porsche Carrera Cup Australia representative in this weekend’s event. Belford will race for Bergwerk Motorsport in the #14 car.

With current Am-class championship leader Munkong Sathienthirakul unable to attend this weekend, this gives brothers Henry and Eric Kwong (Bergwerk Motorsport) the opportunity to take the crown.

TRIPLE ACE RACING’s Henry currently leads 2024 Am champion Eric by four points heading into the nal round, after securing a double victory in Mandalika. Roy Tang makes his second appearance in the championship for 610 Racing in his home country, as Kerong Li (Team Porsche New Zealand) also returns to the series after a maiden outing in the nal round of the 2023 season in Shanghai. However, the closest battle of all is for the inaugural Masters’ title. Victories in six of the 12 races for Adrian D’Silva see the EBM man currently topping the standings, but Christian Chia’s exceptional consistency for OpenRoad Racing

means he only faces a single point decit. Modena Motorsports’ John Shen also remains in contention, but will need his rivals to fail to nish if he is to claim the title. The category will also have a further entry for this event as Dean Cook steps into the #321 Z.SPEED Motorsport Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1).

Several Porsche Carrera Cup Asia drivers have been busy since the previous round, with Dylan Yip, Bao Jinlong, Eric Kwong and Henry Kwong teaming up in the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup event at Spa-Francorchamps. The quartet clinched sixth in the Am-Silver class in the 12-hour enduro, which was won overall by Dylan Pereira, as Hugo Ellis also made his way onto the Pro podium. Porsche Driver Alessio Picariello was on site courtesy of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacic, to aid with driver coaching throughout the event.Following the action in Singapore, which is the home of Porsche Asia Pacic, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia will host its Night of Champions award ceremony, celebrating the season and presenting the title winners with their trophies in what promises to be a night to remember.

Race 1 gets underway later that day at 16:15, ahead of Race 2 on Sunday at 16:40. Both events will be available to watch on Porsche Carrera Cup Asia’s website and YouTube channel.Danial Frost, TORO Racing: “I’m excited to make my rst appearance in the championship at my home race in Singapore. This makes it extra special for me and I’m very motivated to achieve a strong result in front of the fans. My goal is to be at the front, but I know it’ll be a steep learning curve for me due to my limited running time in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1). However, I believe that with the support of the team we can deliver a positive weekend.”

Matthew Belford, Bergwerk Motorsport: “I’m delighted to be joining Bergwerk Motorsport for my debut in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and I’m condent that the crew will bring me up to speed quickly. The exchange programme provides a fantastic opportunity to compete across the two series and experience the highest standard of Porsche racing in two di;erent regions. Porsche Carrera Cup Australia is very competitive, and the beauty of the Carrera Cup is that we race in the same Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1) across the globe! Singapore is a bucket list event for me as it’s a very fast and technical circuit so I can’t wait to get out on track this weekend.

”Christian Chia, OpenRoad Racing: “I’m excited to be heading into the nal two races of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season with a shot at the Masters title. The new category has been incredibly competitive all year with close racing throughout. Singapore is a tricky and challenging street circuit, but I believe my experience will give me a strong chance. Everything is still to play for, and you know in Singapore there can always be a few surprises with the weather or a Safety Car. Either way, it’s set to be a thrilling season nale, which I’m really looking forward to it.

” Alexandre Imperatori, Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Manager: “We’re really excited for our teams and drivers to take on Singapore this weekend in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia championship nale. We’ve been racing at the Marina Bay Circuit ever since the rst Singapore Grand Prix in 2008, and it’s become the

highlight of our calendar. Singapore is the home of Porsche Asia Pacic, and we hope their guests enjoy all the on-track action this weekend. It’s great to see Dylan O’Kee;e and Matthew Belford joining us for this round as part of our exchange programme with Porsche Carrera Cup Australia. Even though the overall and Pro-Am champions have been decided, we’ve got two incredibly close title battles in the Am and Masters categories. We’ll look forward to celebrating all our winners at the Night of Champions Award Ceremony on Sunday night after an action-packed event.”
